Desizn Circle International's Second Felicitation Ceremony at Alliance Française, New Delhi on 29th June 2025

On the bright Sunday afternoon of June 29, 2025, the vibrant halls of Alliance Française de Delhi witnessed a gathering of creativity, ambition, and global achievement. Desizn Circle International (DCI), one of India’s most promising design education platforms, hosted its second edition of the International Felicitation Ceremony, honoring students who have secured admission into some of the most prestigious design universities across the globe. With an agenda focused on celebration, mentorship, and guidance for aspiring designers, the event marked a significant milestone in DCI’s journey toward nurturing globally competent design talent.

A Celebration of Global Excellence in Design Education

The highlight of the event was the felicitation of DCI students who earned their places at internationally acclaimed institutions such as:

• Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD)

• Istituto Marangoni (Milan, Paris, London)

These names represent not just institutions but beacons of innovation, where our young minds will now grow, evolve, and shine on a global platform.

The ceremony commenced at 12 noon, bringing together students, parents, mentors, faculty, and international academic representatives under one roof. The opening session featured an exclusive guidance seminar and portfolio review conducted by the team from Istituto Marangoni. The institute, a long-standing partner and global leader in fashion and design education, offered deep insights into their application procedures, program offerings, and the future of design careers.

Representing Istituto Marangoni were Mr. Maheep, Ms. Sarabhjeet, Ms. Liam, and Mr. Jitender—a team of dedicated professionals who not only explained the step-by-step admission process for the 2026 and 2027 intakes but also engaged directly with students and their families. Through personal interactions and one-on-one portfolio assessments, they provided a rare opportunity for aspiring designers to understand the global standards expected of them and how to align their creative visions accordingly.

The Felicitation Ceremony: Honoring Dreams, Dedication, and Mentorship

The second segment of the event, held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, was the most awaited: the Felicitation Ceremony. The auditorium was brimming with pride and emotion as names of students were called upon to receive their certificates of achievement and tokens of appreciation.

Each student recognized had gone through a rigorous creative process, portfolio development, and interview preparation, made possible under the constant mentorship and guidance of the Desizn Circle International team. This moment was not just about certificates—it was a heartfelt celebration of their resilience, talent, and dreams taking flight.

The event also acknowledged the incredible contributions of DCI’s faculty and mentors, who are the silent architects behind each student's journey. The following team members were specially thanked for their unwavering dedication:

Their mentorship has shaped DCI into more than an institution—it’s a community, a movement that helps young creators discover their potential and prepare for international platforms.

The Alumni Connect: Real Stories, Real Inspiration

Adding a special sparkle to the ceremony were DCI alumni, now students at leading design colleges around the world. Their presence and interaction added immense value for the next batch of aspiring designers. Among the special guests were:

• Smera Sood – currently at FIT New York

• Soumya Buttan – pursuing her creative journey at SCAD

• Naina Gayatri Nath – enrolled at the Glasgow School of Art

• Ishita Yadav – studying at UAL

• Shyraa Luthra - studying at UAL

These alumni, who once walked the same hallways of DCI as nervous beginners, took to the stage and candidly shared their journeys. From portfolio creation challenges to adjusting to a new culture abroad, they offered practical advice, motivation, and reassurance. Their presence turned abstract dreams into tangible reality for many students in the audience.

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Mr. Jitender and Mr. Atul Maurya, who took time to share their experiences and encourage both parents and students to trust the process, the mentors, and their own creativity.

Behind the Scenes: Flawless Execution

No event of such magnitude runs without a dedicated team working behind the curtain. One of the standout features of this edition was the exceptional event coordination by the interns of Inbox Design Consultants, who were truly the backbone of the show. From certificate distribution to stage management, seating arrangements to backstage logistics, the interns ensured everything ran seamlessly. Their professionalism and calm under pressure reflected the values and training imparted at DCI.

Special mention must be made of Mrs. Aishwarya Kochhar, the microphone coordinator and host of the day. With poise, energy, and charisma, she steered the program with warmth and clarity, ensuring each segment transitioned smoothly and every guest felt acknowledged.
